A student learning outcome for this course is: “Engage in dialogue to discuss practical applications of market models and the merits of policy choices, especially as they may relate to concepts of socio-economic welfare (price controls, tax policy, etc.)”
Have you had any personal experience with price controls (floors or ceilings)? Can you find an interesting story in the news or from your own life that is relevant to this issue? Write your post as a descriptive story and show us what the pros and cons were in the price control you chose. The supplemental resources in Moodle for the past few weeks can help you with different examples of price controls from the USA and abroad to get you started.
